Thousands in Kobanê have gathered at the Free Women’s Square in the city center to protest the occupation of Afrin at its first anniversary.

The mass will stage a march to the Martyr Egid Square where a rally will be held afterwards.

The slogans chanted by the people of Kobanê include "Bijî berxwedana Efrînê" (Long Live Afrin Resistance”, "Bijî Serok Apo" (Long Live Leader Öcalan) and Hure hure hure el şabi Surî hüre (People of Syria are free).
