PYD commemorated Şîlan Kobanê and other Mosul martyrs

PYD party executives murdered in Mosul in 2004 commemorated in Kobanê.

The Democratic Union Party (PYD) commemorated party executives Meysa Baqî (Şîlan Kobanê), Zekeriya Îbrahîm (Zekeriya), Fûat (Hâkmet Tokmak), Cemîl (Nebo Elî) and Ciwan (Hacî Cûma Elî), who were murdered in Mosul on 29 November 2004.

The commemoration was held at the Baqî Xido Culture and Art Center in Kobanê and was attended by dozens of people.

PYD General Council Member, Dîlber Yûsif, said that martyr Şîlan and her comrades were killed by the betrayal of the enemy.

Dîlber said that the martyrdom of each of these comrades has caused a deep pain. “The enemy always wanted to destroy us. - he said - However, the struggles and achievements we carry out following the values ​​taught to us by our martyrs are growing day by day”.

Havîn Miho, chair of the Martyr Families' Council, said the martyrs left behind a great legacy of resistance. The martyrs, Miho added, are martyrs for the whole people of Kurdistan.

A poem written by martyr Ciwan was read to end the event.
