Rojava Autonomous Administration Spokesperson for Europe, Dr Abdulkerim Omer, said, "The Kurdish people will win in the new century despite all the pressures."
Rojava Autonomous Administration Spokesperson for Europe, Dr Abdulkerim Omer, said that the new invasion attacks and plans of the Turkish state are a continuation of the genocide process that started with the Treaty of Lausanne.
Speaking to ANF, Omer stated that the Turkish state has been trying to exterminate the Kurdish people and destroy their gains for 100 years and said, "It does not accept the status of Kurds anywhere in the world. It plots, plans and massacres to destroy them."
Pointing to Turkey’s partnership with ISIS, its occupation of Afrin and other places, massacres and manipulation of the population structure in order to eliminate the Rojava Revolution, Omer continued: "They turn all the crises in the world into an opportunity to slaughter the Kurds and destroy their gains. Their only concern is to destroy the Kurds. They negotiated to make the governments of Bashûr (Southern Kurdistan) and Iraq partners. All negotiations are aimed at the slaughter of Kurds."
Noting that the Turkish state could not tolerate the Kurds having organised power and status, Omer said: "Kurds have played a great role against terrorism in the world. Kurdish women are recognised in the world and play a leading role. Kurds have made friends in the world. Their policies aimed at destroying Kurdish politics in Turkey have come to naught. For 25 years they have been imposing isolation on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. They usurped all HDP municipalities. They imprisoned Kurdish politicians. Despite all this, Kurdish politics took back its gains in the local elections, while Erdoğan and his party suffered a great defeat. Now they realise that Kurds are strong and protect their gains everywhere. They will try their last chance to destroy this. They have just launched a new invasion attack, but they will not get results from it. They will not succeed. Kurds are not the old Kurds. They are an organised people. They have power, politics and projects."
