According to the website of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), around 600 SDF fighters participated in the operation against the ISIS cell structure carried out in the village of Abu Hemam in Deir Ez-zor.

20 mercenaries were captured in the operation along with 8 RPG guns, 7,500 kalashnikov bullets, a large number of grenades and mobile phones, the statement said. One of the mercenaries attacked SDF fighters and was killed.

The statement said the cell structure in question was responsible for the terrorist attack on the public market on 7 July which killed 7 children.
