YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Office released a statement announcing the martyrdom of 10 members who fell fighting the gangs whilst protecting civilians heading to safe zones during the ongoing Operation Wrath of Euphrates.

YPG stated that the Operation Wrath of Euphrates to liberate Raqqa continues at full force despite all the attacks and obstructions attempted by the invading Turkish army.

YPG said 95 % of southeast of the Tabqa town and north of the Raqqa city has been liberated since the beginning of the military campaign.

"This mighty progress is taking place owing to great labor and sacrifices. Fighters of the SDF that include YPG-YPJ are mounting unbroken resistance in order to enhance and protect their gains. With this resistance and struggle, dreams and hopes of the oppressed peoples are coming true, which undoubtedly has a price. During gangs' attacks on civilians that were trying to reach the areas under our forces' control in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates, 10 comrades of ours put up a brave fight and fell as martyrs. As YPG and YPJ we offer our condolences to the families of martyrs and all the people of Kurdistan, and we promise to make the goal of the martyrs the basis of our struggle”, YPG stressed.
