A delegation from the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Efrin-Shehba Canton visited the two wounded children in hospital today.

The delegation included Melek Hisên and Bekir Elo, Co-Chairs of the Canton Executive Council, and Eliya Mihemed, Co-Chair of the Health Committee.

The delegation members then made a statement in front of the hospital to the accompaniment of Avrin Hospital staff.

Bekir Elo condemned the attacks of the occupying Turkish state against the Afrin-Shehba Canton and stated that the Turkish attacks target civilians every day and that the attacks have increased with the arrival of the harvest season.

Stating that this aggression constitutes a crime against humanity, Bekir Elo said, "The occupying Turkish state in a state of disintegration wants to destroy the will and resistance of the people with these attacks. However, our people will resist with determination."

Bekir Elo called on international human rights organisations to hold the occupying Turkish state and its gangs to account.

According to latest reports from the ground, Faris Ibrahim could not be saved despite all medical interventions and lost his life on Sunday. His brother Meter Îbrahîm is still being treated in the hospital.
