According to local sources, 18 Turkish soldiers were killed in a firefight between the invading Turkish army and YPG/YPJ fighters in Xalta village near Afrin city center. Several soldiers were also wounded. 

YPG sources confirmed the information and added that a pickup truck with a heavy machine gun was also destroyed.
