The bodies of 23 fighters who fell as martyrs in the operation carried out by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) against the attacks launched by ISIS mercenaries in Sina Prison in Hesekê were buried with a ceremony at Martyr Dijwar Cemetery in the village of Dawudiyê, in Hesekê.
The martyrs who were buried are as follows: "Muhened Hesen Silêman, Ednan Ewda El-Ubeyd, Mihemed El-Ebid, Ehmed Hiwêdî El-Tewîl, Xelîl Mihemed Şêxo, Şukrî Wadî Doman, Ebdulraûf Îd El-Selim, Elî Hised El- Casim El-Elî, Îmad Salih, Reşad Ehmed Yûnis, Feysel Ebdurehman, Ednan Ebas Xilêf, Egîd Mihemed Xelîl, Ehmed Xazî Nasir, Ehmed Salih Silêman, Mihemed Fîras Dexîl, Samî Îbrahîm Xûsifelîn, Ebdo, Cuma Şêxo Beyrem and Ehmed Ayîd Salih."
'We are proud of them'
The people accompanied the coffins of the martyrs from the Martyrs' Families Council to the graveyard in a convoy. After a minute's silence at the martyrdom, Ebid Hamid El Mihbaş, co-chair of the Autonomous Administration Executive Council, said that the martyrs sacrificed their lives to maintain peace and security. El Mihbaş added: "The enemies of the Autonomous Administration now know that we have heroes who are not afraid of death. Our hearts ache as we bid farewell to our martyrs who gave their lives for the peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria to live in peace. We are proud of them."
'The enemy's plans were foiled'
Democratic Union Party co-presidency committee member Foza Yusif said: "We are deeply saddened to bid farewell to 121 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the people of Northern and Eastern Syria. Our martyrs foiled the great plans of the invaders with their heroism. They gave the necessary answer to those who think they can revive ISIS."
Idrîs Selmo, a commander from the Hesekê Military Council, drew attention to the Turkish state's plans for the region and said: "Our forces showed a great resistance for humanity. He turned all of ISIS's plans upside down. Desperate after the defeat of ISIS, Erdogan attacked our people. However, no attack will break the will of this people."
Member of the Martyrs' Families Council Rojda Ehmed read the martyrdom documents of the martyrs and delivered them to their families.
