256 families from Girê Spî move to Autonomous Administration areas

256 families from Girê Spî were forced to leave their homes because of crimes against humanity, ever-worsening conditions and lack of security in the occupied areas.

The Gîrê Spî Canton Council, based in the district of Ain Issa, told ANHA that 256 families from Gîrê Spî (Tal Abyad), which was occupied by the Turkish state and allied mercenaries in October 2016, have moved to the areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) during the past three weeks.

The families, who moved due to ever-worsening conditions and lack of security in their occupied hometown, fled the inhumane crimes committed by the occupation forces in Girê Spî center, the town of Silûk, the village of Zeydî and some other occupied areas.

On the other hand, hundreds of families left Damascus-held areas and crossed into AANES regions after the February 6 earthquake that was centered in Turkey-North Kurdistan and inflicted devastating damage to Syria as well.
