33 political parties in North-East Syria made a press statement denouncing the latest wave of attacks by the Turkish state against the region.

The joint press statement read by Nesreddin İbrahim, Secretary General of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party, said the following:

“The invading Turkish state continues its violent attacks against villages and towns in North-East Syria. The attacks carried out by UAVs and UCAVs are directly targeting civilians, members of the Internal Security Forces and civilian institutions. On 4 October, the invading Turkish state launched a large-scale aggression extending from Kobanê to Hesekê, targeting vital supply facilities in civilian settlements, such as water pumping stations and electricity distribution stations.”

The statement recalled that the Turkish state has already occupied large territories in North-East Syria, displaced the people of Afrin, Serêkaniye and Girê Spî and now tries to occupy further regions.

The parties condemned the increasingly ongoing attacks and the international silence, and said: “The Turkish state attributes its domestic issues to the project of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. This hostile policy of Ankara has become a disaster for the peoples of both Syria and Turkey. As the political parties in North-East Syria, we have always stood for peace in Syria and neighboring countries.”

The parties called on Syrian national forces and the democratic circles in Turkey and the world to condemn the attacks.
