36 ISIS members and collaborators captured in Qamishlo

36 ISIS members and their collaborators were captured during an operation carried out in Qamishlo.

The Internal Security released a statement detailing an action directed against ISIS hideouts in Qamishlo, saying the following:

“A general security operation was launched to capture ISIS cells and their collaborators, those who help them or facilitate their activities. A heavy blow has been dealt to the activities of ISIS in the region.

Today (Jan 2), in the early hours of the morning, the Operation Forces and the Special Forces (HAT) raided ISIS hideouts in different neighbourhoods of Qamishlo and arrested people who helped them.

Numerous weapons, ammunition and technical materials were seized during the raid.

Our forces continue to work more than ever to maintain stability in our regions. We call on our people to inform the closest security points and support the security forces if they see any suspicious behaviour.”
