SDF sources stated that dozens of Turkish soldiers and gang members were killed during clashes in Omera and Qada villages of Afrin’s Rajo district, and three military vehicles of theirs were destroyed.
According to SDF sources, the invading Turkish army and allied gangs suffered heavy losses during ongoing clashes in Afrin. Bodies of 37 Turkish soldiers and gang members were transported to Azaz and some others to Turkey.
SDF fighters destroyed three military vehicles, two of which were armored, in Omera and Qada villages of Afrin’s Rajo district.
SDF sources reported heavy fighting in the surroundings of Hamam village during Tuesday and Turkish troops and gangs acting with them suffered heavy blows in this area. During the clashes here, one tank was destroyed and head of Semerkand gang group was killed.
In Afrin’s Shera district, Turkish units and gangs carried out an attack on Qestel Cindo hill and the attack was repelled by SDF forces. In the evening hours on Tuesday, Turkish troops and gangs headed towards Iska hill where also they were repelled amid fierce clashes with SDF fighters.
In Sherawa district, SDF repelled the attack on the village of Meranaz.
Unable to advance on the ground, the Turkish army carried out airstrikes on Rajo and Cindires districts, which reportedly resulted in civilian casualties.
Heavy fighting is reported to be continuing in the mentioned areas.
