The Tiwehine refugee camp in Tabqa is home to tens of thousands who fled the Syrian Islamic State (IS) from various parts of Syria. They receive no international support and are provided with the essentials by the municipalities of the region. The camp currently has no school for 6,157 children.
One of the biggest wishes that the children bring up there again and again is being able to go to school. Eyşe El Fêsel explains that because of the attacks, they had to end the school and demands that classes be organized in the camp.
Henîn Ibrahim, who had to flee Homs with his family, wishes to attend a school where he can learn to read and write.
