609 Corona infections in North-East Syria

The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in northeast Syria has increased by 14 to 609, according to the Health Committee of the Autonomous Administration. In the past 24 hours six new cases have been detected in Hesekê, one in Tirbespiyê, two in Dirbêsiyê, three in Dêrik, one in Deir ez-Zor and Qamishlo.
The total number of deaths is given as forty while 146 infected persons are said to have recovered in the meantime.
In the Damascus-controlled areas of Syria, there are 2,898 cases of infection and 120 deaths, according to official figures from Wednesday evening.
