800 self-defense soldiers complete training in Hesekê
The 29th Training Cycle at the Martyr Hesen Derwîş Self-Defense Academy in Hesekê Canton has been completed with the participation of 800 soldiers.

The 29th Training Cycle at the Martyr Hesen Derwîş Self-Defense Academy in Hesekê Canton has been completed with the participation of 800 soldiers.
The Training Cycle named after ‘Martyr Mazlum Qamişlo’ lasted 45 days during which 800 recruits were given ideological and military lessons.
The ceremony marking the end of the training cycle was attended by families of the soldiers, Defense Council officials and self-defense commanders.
Speaking after one minute’s silence at the ceremony, Self-Defense Forces Commander Ayid İbrahim congratulated the recruits for their successful accomplishment of the training cycle, and stressed that Raqqa will be liberated from ISIS owing to the youth.
The ceremony continued with oath-taking ceremony and ended with a performance of Kurdish traditional dance halay.
