Turkish attacks deprive 86,000 students of the right to education

One of the main targets in the occupation attacks launched by the Turkish state on 9 October is education. 810 schools were closed due to the attacks, 86 thousand students were forced to stop their classes.

According to Autonomous Administration sources around 300 thousand people were forced to migrate because of the Turkish attacks on Rojava launched on 9 October.

The Turkish state killed hundreds of people, including dozens of children, and is carrying out an ethnic cleansing in the Kurdish territory. Education has been one of the first targets.

Since the 9 October attacks, 20 schools have been the target of direct artillery attacks, while 810 schools have been closed. School materials were looted in all occupied areas. According to the Autonomous Administration, 86 thousand students in the region were deprived of their right to education.

The information received from the areas occupied by the Turkish state also confirms that an intensive assimilation campaign is being carried out within the framework of a Turkification policy.
