Çilaxa youth take to the streets against Turkish invasion

In Çilaxa, young activists staged a protest march against Turkish attacks and policies of the KDP. The youth announced their participation in the general mobilisation launched against the invasion.

The Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and Association of Young Women held a march in the northern Syrian town of Çilaxa in Heseke province in protest at the Turkish state’s genocidal occupation attacks and the policies of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).

The march launched at Martyr Mahsum Junction in district center was participated by tens of youth. The crowd carried posters of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan and flags of youth organisations, chanting slogans saluting the guerrilla resistance and condemning the collaboration of the KDP with the Turkish state.

During the march which was followed by a demonstration at Garage Square, Umer El Ebid made a statement on behalf of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and pointed out that the Turkish state brutally attacks the guerrilla zones and South Kurdistan territories and bombards the civilian settlements.

The statement pointed out that the entire world is aware of the KDP’s betrayal now and called the KDP a partner of the invasion, due to its support to the Turkish state.

Umer El Ebid announced that the Revolutionary Youth have joined the general mobilisation and stressed that the youth will stop the invasion in North-East Syrian territories.

The statement lastly called on the Kurdish people to support the youth and stand with the historic resistance of the guerrilla.
