Şilêr Children's Rights Monitoring Committee protests the murder of child in Yüksekova

Şilêr Children's Rights Monitoring Committee issued a statement regarding the murder of a child in Yuksekova by a Turkish soldier and the crime committed by a Syrian person against children in Paris.

Şilêr Children's Rights Monitoring Committee issued a statement on crimes against children.

Pointing out that a 5-year-old boy named Erdem Aşkan was killed when a vehicle belonging to a specialist sergeant was crushed in the Yuksekova (Gever), in the province of Hakkari (Colemêrg), the statement said: "Erdem Aşkan was brutally murdered by an invading Turkish state's armored vehicle. The murderer was released after a quick investigation."

On the other hand, referring to the attack against children in a park in Paris, the statement continued: "The condition of 4 children who were injured as a result of a 31-year-old Syrian man attacking children in Paris is critical. It appears that the attacker was under the influence of drugs."

The statement said: "We condemn these attacks. Those who protect children's rights should not remain silent against attacks against children and should clearly show their stance."
