Activists in Serêkaniyê vow to resist against Turkish threats

In Serêkaniyê, the human shield action has reached day 6 and has been joined by hundreds of Northern and Eastern Syrian people.
Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) delegations as well as Kongreya Star and Arab tribe leaders supported the action.
MSD deputy co-chair Gabrayel Shamun hailed the resistance against Turkish occupation displayed by Northern and Eastern Syria people.
Shamun said that the children of the region have sacrificed their lives to ensure freedom and that this freedom cannot be taken away.
Shamun said that they reject the threats against Northern and Eastern Syria and added: “The occupying Turkish state seeks to destroy the region's achievements. All the peoples and components of the region reject the intervention of the occupying Turkish state.”
Shamun called on the international community to address the Turkish government's threats and support the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Arab wise leader Ehmed El-Xidir said they supported the people of Serêkaniyê, and added that the Ottoman Empire occupied this territory for 400 years and will not allow to do so again.
El-Xidir added that the people will resist against the occupying Turkish state and the mercenaries.
Kongreya Star member Hediya Shemo said that no one could disrupt the unity of the peoples of the Northern and Eastern Syria.
The withdrawal of the US, she added, “does not mean that everything is over. The threats of the Turkish state increase our determination and resistance.”
Shemo called on the people stand up to the Turkish state.
