Afrin children call on UNICEF to protect their right to life

Afrin children living in Shehba reacted to the embargo and attacks against the region and called on UNICEF to fulfill its responsibility towards children in northern Syria.

Dozens of children of displaced families from Afrin came together in the Berxwedan Camp in the Shehba Canton and made a statement concerning the Syrian government embargo against the region and the Turkish attacks targeting children.

The statement pointed out that the embargo imposed on the region jeopardized the health of children and deprived them of their right to education.

The statement noted that two children froze to death due to the embargo that does not allow fuel supply to the region.

Children called on UNICEF to fulfil its duties concerning children and to guarantee their right to a safe and healthy life.
