After the latest drone attack by the Turkish army in Kobanê with two dead and seven injured, there have been angry protests in northern and eastern Syria.
After Turkey's deadly drone attack in Kobanê, the anger of the people of northern and eastern Syria is being unleashed on the streets. Protests against the Turkish aggression took place in numerous cities in the autonomous region on Sunday, including Qamişlo, Hesekê, Dirbêsiyê, Til Temir and Dêrik. They demanded the immediate closure of the airspace over northern and eastern Syria and a clear position by the so-called guarantor powers against Turkish crimes.
The drone attack on a house in the eastern neighborhood of Şehîd Peyman on Saturday killed two people and injured seven others, some of them seriously. A demonstration was organised in Qamişlo today to mark the occasion. Thousands of people took part in the protest and walked to the headquarters of the United Nations (UN) behind a front banner with the words "Against murder and expulsion we will resist with all elements of society."
