Asayish Forces: Efrîn’s roads are open for migrants

Asayish Forces have denied allegations by gang groups that they are not allowing migrants to enter the Efrîn Canton.
The gang groups in Azaz claimed that the Asayish Forces don’t allow migrants into the Efrîn Canton, but their claims have been refuted with a statement by the Efrîn Canton Asayish Forces.
The Asayiş Forces held a press statement in front of the Canton Headquarters that read:
“The Efrîn Canton and liberated areas of Shehba are under heavy attack by the invading Turkish state and their allied gangs. Their goal is to invade Syrian territory and to damage the security of the region. And the Turkish state is handing over the regions held by gang groups to other forces in regional and international agreements to make their attacks on Efrîn and Shehba acceptable.
YPG and YPJ fighters, Self Defense Forces and Revolutionary forces are ready to retaliate attacks in Efrîn and Shehba now.
The march held in the Efrîn Canton under the lead of the autonomous administration shows the region’s peoples’ response to Turkey’s intervention and their support for the YPG/YPJ.
We as the Asayish Forces have taken precautions to defend the Efrîn Canton.
- All roads to Efrîn are open
- Migrants can enter the Canton after a check
- Vehicles can’t enter the Canton
- Vehicles inside the Canton have to have authorized Canton license plates
- Citizens who live outside of the Canton and who are not migrants can’t enter the Canton
- Efrîn Canton citizens who don’t have ID papers must go to the civilian affairs directorate and get their papers.
- We expect citizens who see suspicious behaviour to immediately report it to the Asayish Forces
- Citizens should stay in basements during mortar fire
- We repeat our promise to ensure security for our people’s gains and the region’s safety.”
