El-Hemed, who lives in Xesham town in the east of Deir ez-Zor, was injured as a result of an armed attack by unidentified armed assailants on a motorbike in the El Ezbe region.
El-Hemed is treated at a hospital in Hesekê, where he was taken in a wounded state.
