At least 90 ISIS members killed in Deir ez-Zor

At least 90 ISIS mercenaries have been killed in clashes in Shafaa, al-Sousse and northern Hajin region.

The Jazira Storm offensive launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to liberate the settlements south of Hesekê and north of Deir ez-Zor from ISIS occupation has reached its final stage with the Hajin operation. SDF units have now moved to the town and from several locations have freed a large part of it.

At the moment, it is only a matter of time until Hajin is completely liberated. Afterwards, the SDF forces will take action to ensure a safe return of the population. With the liberation of Hajin, the ISIS will have been expelled from all of northern and eastern Syria.

ISIS mercenaries attacked the positions of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Shafaa, al-Sousse and northern Hajin.

Heavy clashes erupted in the mentioned areas following the retaliation of SDF forces.

SDF sources report that many bases and three vehicles of the mercenaries were destroyed during the fighting, while at least 90 ISIS members were killed and corpses of 12 remained in clashes area.

SDF fighters have also seized ammunition belonging to ISIS.

Reports suggest that clashes in the region are continuing.
