Attacks on Rojava continue

The Turkish army and its mercenaries have expanded their artillery attacks on the northern Syrian district of Ain Issa. Earlier, there had been deaths and injuries near Girê Spî and in the Şehba region.

Following the fierce Turkish artillery attacks on the northern Syrian regions of Şehba and Girê Spî on Sunday afternoon, in which at least one civilian was killed, the Turkish army expanded its attacks to the district of Ain Issa in the evening. In the aggression, the villages of Mişêrfê, Hoşan, Xalidiyê Cehbel, Mielek and Dibis were shelled, as well as the Nexil restaurant located on the M4 highway. So far there is no information about the consequences of the shelling.

The M4 highway represents a strategic target of the Turkish invading forces. On the one hand, the aim is to interrupt the east-west connection between the self-governing areas through the attacks, but in perspective, the aim is to conquer and occupy an area that includes the M4. The attacks on the M4 contradict the ceasefire agreement guaranteed by Russia and the United States. Nevertheless, the attacks continue permanently.
