Autonomous Administration calls for international action against Turkey’s attacks

AANES calls on the international community, international organisations and human rights organisations to stop Turkey’s attacks and to take action against the attacks targeting the territories where ISIS terror has been defeated.

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) released a statement on the ongoing occupation attacks of the Turkish army, warning against “a dangerous war process”.

The statement published by AANES on Sunday said, “Reconnaissance aircraft of the Turkish state, which continues its systematic war against our people and genocidal attacks against our region, targeted the Martyr Peyman neighborhood in the east of Kobane. The attack resulted in civilian deaths and injuries. This development points to a dangerous war process seeking to eliminate efforts to develop a democratic project and ensure stability after the defeat of ISIS.”

Offering their condolences to the families of fallen civilians and wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded, the AANES continued;

“We will continue our democratic struggle and our work to prevent terrorism and achieve stability in our region. We highlight the need for all the forces operating in Syria, led by the International Coalition and Russia, to clarify their stand against the ongoing attacks. The silence of the powers in question raises doubts that they were informed of Turkey’s attacks.

We call on the international community, international organisations and human rights organisations to stop Turkey’s attacks and to take action against the attacks targeting the territories where ISIS terror has been defeated.”
