The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria called for unity against the attacks of the occupying Turkish state in Manbij.
The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria made a press statement regarding the attacks by the invading Turkish state and allied jihadist proxies.
Evîn Siwêd, Co-Chair of the Autonomous Administration Executive Council, read the press statement in Raqqa to the accompaniment of the members of the Autonomous Administration Councils.
Evîn Siwêd stated the following:
“With the developments throughout Syria, the occupying Turkish state and its gangs have intensified their attacks to disrupt the security of our regions and to prevent the peoples' efforts to defend their regions.
Undoubtedly, the main purpose of these attacks is massacre and genocide. Turkey is pursuing a policy of making the current situation even more intractable, spreading violence and realising the plans it has been trying to put into effect since the very beginning of the Syrian crisis.
The attacks against Manbij and other regions aim to break the will of our people and their determination for democracy. They aim to frustrate our efforts to make our regions safe and to take revenge for more than 10 years of struggle against gangs and terrorism.
We declare once again that we will fulfil our duties and responsibilities towards the peoples of North and East Syria, that we will stand against all attempts to break our will, that we will protect our democracy project on the basis of self-defence. We underline that we draw our strength from the consciousness and solidarity of our people in these difficult days.
Stating that our gains are the product of this solidarity, we emphasise once again that the solidarity of all peoples is the basis of achieving victory and protecting our gains, which we have gained with the blood of our martyrs.”
