Autonomous Administration extends curfew by one week in order to contain coronavirus

The curfew declared by the Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration to contain the spread of coronavirus has been extended for another week.

The Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria extended the curfew announced to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic for another week. According to the decision numbered 321, schools, universities, academies, coffee shops, sports competitions and health clinics will be closed for one more week.

- Food markets and greengrocers will be open between 8.00 and 13.00 in the morning.

- Restaurants will only be able to provide takeaway.

- Hospitals, pharmacies, charity associations, water and fuel tankers, vegetable and medicine transport vehicles and media institutions are outside the scope of the ban.

- Farmers will be excluded from the scope of the ban.

- The services that are inconvenient to stop during the curfew will continue. Other than that, work in all Autonomous Administration institutions will be stopped.

- Border gates will be open to crossings only for commercial and humanitarian reasons.
