The Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration Sports and Youth Committee launched a football tournament and the first match was held in Raqqa between the football teams of Fırat Kobanê and Zeyban Deir Ez-zor.

Sports and Youth Committee co-chair, Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration co-chair Ebid Hamid El Mihbaş and his two deputies, opinion leaders in the region and hundreds of fans from Raqqa attended the football match.

Noting that the Autonomous Administration continues to work for the development of all kinds of sports in the region, Ebid Hamid El Mihbaş said: “This year, we allocated a special budget to the Sports and Youth Committee for the development of sports projects and encouraging the youth. The Autonomous Administration will make arrangements in all sports branches."

Before the start of the match, a minute's silence was held on the field in memory of the martyrs of the struggle for freedom.

Fırat Kobanê football team won the match 1-0.

The tournament matches will be held at the Internal Security Field and Martyr Hevrîn Xelef Football Field.
