The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria announced that it would continue to deliver humanitarian aid to the citizens who were affected by the earthquake.
The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) published a written statement on its official website on Friday about the aftermath of the Maraş-centered earthquake on February 6.
The statement said: “Following the devastating earthquake, the Autonomous Administration mobilized all its means to send humanitarian aid convoys to the earthquake-hit areas of Syria. We also delivered humanitarian aid to the Damascus government regions and the occupied areas. However, it was rejected by both sides. After the repeated efforts of mediation boards, 100 trucks of diesel were sent to Sheikh Maqsoud, Shehba and Damascus government regions.”
The statement emphasized that the Autonomous Administration would continue to support the earthquake victims as a humanitarian, moral and national duty.
The statement urged all relevant parties to help the victims without discrimination, not to disrespect human labour and to take responsibility for the humanitarian catastrophe.
