Within a week, the Turkish army has carried out several heavy airstrikes on northern and eastern Syria and Rojava and heavily bombed the region with artillery. Among other things, medical facilities were attacked and dozens of civilians were injured and several killed. The military council of Til Temir also suffered casualties as a result of the attacks.
The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria released a statement about the attacks by the Turkish state, warning that a path is paved for ISIS to return.
The statement said, "We call on the international legal institutions, the International Coalition and the guarantor power Russia to take an immediate stance against these premeditated attacks by the Turkish state. We have already stated that these attacks entail the deepening of the Syrian crisis, the expansion of the occupation and the division of Syria. On the other hand, these attacks risk the return of ISIS as an actor on the regional and international stage. With these attacks, the Turkish state is trying to pave a way for ISIS to return. At the same time, the attacks are also directed against the unity of Syria. The government in Damascus must clarify its stance against these attacks on Syria's sovereignty.
We call upon our people to claim the achievements of the martyrs and to pour into the streets and squares at home as well as abroad and condemn the attacks of the Turkish state. We give our word that we will fulfill our responsibility towards the attacks on our people and protect the security of our people and their achievements with all our might."
