Bedran Çiya Kurd: Turkey will suffer a historic defeat

The Turkish state, which supports terrorist groups like ISIS, aims to make room for terrorist groups by defeating the force that defeated ISIS, warned Bedran Çiya Kurd, saying that their resistance would deliver a historic defeat to the Turkish state.

Bedran Çiya Kurd, Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, spoke to ANF about the ongoing Turkish attacks against Rojava.

Kurd pointed out that the Turkish state used the Istanbul bombing as a pretext to launch attacks on Rojava. “Everybody knows well that the attack in Taksim was planned by the MİT (Turkish intelligence service) with the goal of targeting the peoples of North-East Syria. Everybody sees that Turkey aims to create strife among peoples and is planning to destroy our people because it regards their existence and gains as a danger.”

He continued, “The AKP-MHP government is brutally attacking our people in order to remain standing and maintain its power. However, this fascist regime will not be able to maintain its power by the blood of our people. A lot of effort was made to prevent a war, but now there is no other way but resistance. We have no choice but to resist fascism.”

“The Turkish state is now on the verge of collapse. If we keep resisting a little longer, Turkish fascism will face a historic defeat. They resort to all kinds of dirty methods to cover up their defeat. Turkey supports groups such as Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS, employing banned and chemical weapons. This is a war crime. If a regime resorts to these methods, it means that it has already lost,” Kurd said.

‘THOSE WHO DO NOT TAKE A STAND ARE PARTNERS IN CRIME’

“The Turkish attacks pose a threat not only to the stability of the region, but also to the stability of the whole world, said Kurd and addressed the attitude of the international community: “Turkish fascism has openly committed crimes against humanity hundreds of times for years. The international reaction was weak and did not even exist. This silence encourages the Turkish state.”

The AANES official pointed out that, “Those who do not take a clear stance against Turkish aggression have common interests. Powers such as Russia and America, which forged a 'ceasefire alliance' in October 2019, should raise their voices against these attacks. If the aggression continues like this, the whole region will face major attacks. We will introduce general resistance against the attacks. And our resistance will not be restricted to certain regions. Terrorist groups such as ISIS and Al Nusra will benefit if the region is embroiled in war. The Turkish state, which supports terrorist groups like ISIS, aims to make room for terrorist groups by defeating the force that defeated ISIS."

EVERYONE SHOULD OPPOSE THE ATTACKS

Kurd stated that the attacks were directed towards the whole of Syria. “Turkish forces have also targeted the Damascus government soldiers in the attacks. Many soldiers have died. This is an indication that Turkey never favoured the unity of Syria and the Syrian peoples. The Turkish state is destroying the living conditions of the people here and forcing them to migrate. Therefore, it plans to change the demographic structure. Protection of Syrian lands is the duty of all Syrian peoples. For this very reason, all the peoples of Syria should be united against occupation and fascism and take a stance against fascism.”

“The peoples of North and East Syria have taken a clear stance against occupation and resisted the attacks. We believe that they will continue their resistance against the invaders. The peoples of Syria, together with the peoples living under the Autonomous Administration, must be united against the attacks. The defence force should join the honourable fight against fascism together with the Autonomous Administration. By means of these attacks, Turkey aims to force people to migrate and evacuate the country. Turkey wants to destroy our living spaces by turning our country into a war zone. Everyone will stand up in the spirit of resistance and remove the Turkish state from history,” Kurd concluded.
