Belgian delegation meets Autonomous Administration in Qamishlo

Foreign Relations Department co-chair Fener El Giêt met with a Belgian delegation and said that the delegation was informed about recent developments in the region.
The delegation, consisting of Cowen Steffenner, the Belgian ambassador in Jordan's capital Amman, and Johan Kasser, co-director of Consular Aid, met with officials from the Autonomous Administration Foreign Affairs Department in Qamishlo.
The delegation, who visited Northern and Eastern Syria for the third time, made its second visit in the last month.
Co-chair of the Northern and Eastern Syrian Autonomous Administration Foreign Relations Department Abdülkerim Ömer, his assistants Fener El-Giêt and Ebîr Êliya, Autonomous Administration Europe Representative Mizgîn Ehmed, and deputy heads of the Autonomous Administration Women's Committee Evîn Qafûr and Belqîs Hemendî attended the meeting.
Giêt said that the delegation debated over an array of issues including Syrian crisis, recent developments in Northern and Eastern Syria and the threats and attacks of the invading Turkish state against the region.
Giêt also added that they told the delegation that Turkish state's attacks is putting a strain on health services, education and economy in the region, and that the situation of ISIS members held in the camps is a heavy burden on the Autonomous Administration.
The Belgian delegation also brought to the meeting the issue of a 9-year-old boy from Belgium held in Hol Camp.
