The Turkish military and allied mercenaries have launched a wave of attacks on villages in Sherawa district of the occupied Afrin city Thursday evening.
The artillery attack targets the villages of Soxanekê, Benê, Ziyaretê, Burc Qas, Kulotê, Meyasa and Gundê Mezin. The aggression is reported to have started wildfires in cultivated fields in the villages and burned down olive trees in some villages. The villages targeted by the aggression are besieged by the Turkish state and Damascus Government forces.
On the other hand, the Turkish state forces have launched a howitzer attack on the village of Ziyara and Aqibaya. According to reports, 150 howitzers have been fired on the area. The bombardments have not resulted in a loss of life but caused damage to civilian settlements and fields belonging to the local people.
