Decree No. 3 said: "The High Electoral Body of Northern and Eastern Syria will begin candidacy applications for the local elections to be held on 11 June 2024.
For those who want to become candidates - political parties, political blocs - independent individuals.
Applications can be made between 12 May and 18 May 2024."
