The number of civilians and combatants who have been killed in Russian airstrikes on different positions in the “de-escalation” zone in 2023, precisely since June 24, has risen to 43.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that three members of HTS, including a member working in monitoring the movements of aircraft, were killed and seven other members and five civilians, including two women, were injured in airstrikes by Russian fighter jets in the Idlib countryside.
According to the observatory, the airstrikes targeted military headquarters near a camp hosting displaced people in the area between Al-Sheikh Bahr and Ma’arat Misrin city in northern Idlib countryside. Shrapnel from the violent explosions hit positions in the camp.
SOHR stated that the number of civilians and combatants who have been killed in Russian airstrikes on different positions in the “de-escalation” zone in 2023, precisely since June 24, has risen to 43. In addition, the airstrikes left over 58 people injured.
