The invading Turkish state and its mercenaries have been abducting civilians and inflicting inhuman torture since the day they occupied Afrin in 2018. It was learned that the prisoners who were tortured and unlawfully detained have gone on hunger strike.

According to information obtained from local sources, it was reported that civilians who were abducted and put in prison have gone on hunger strike to protest torture and the inhumane detention conditions.

The sources noted that the health status of those on hunger strike deteriorated and the Turkish state and its mercenaries did not allow them to receive treatment.
