Almost 100,000 people took to the streets in Afrin on Sunday to demonstrate their determination to resist Turkey and its mercenary gangs.
In protest against the joint attacks by the Turkish state and the militia derived from the ISIS and al-Nusra, a huge demonstration has taken place in the center of Afrin on Sunday.
At the closing rally in front of the Dersim Hospital, Bedran Çiya Kurd on behalf of TEV-DEM (Democratic Society Movement) said that the attack by the Turkish state was aimed directly at the will of the Kurdish people. “Previously, groups such as the ISIS, al-Nusra and al-Qaeda had been used for attacks. Today, the Turkish state is working together and coordinating with militias that have emerged from these groups.”
“WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER”
"Erdoğan's attack is not just against the Kurdish people, but against all the peoples of Syria," said the TEV-DEM representative. He stressed that; “For the population of Afrin, there is only the alternative between a free and dignified life or death. There is only one thing we are sure of: we will never surrender."
Bedran Çiya Kurd made the following call to the international coalition against ISIS and the United Nations (UN): "The attacks take place in front of everyone. It is an invasion. Dozens of civilians have been killed. We have been living on the border of Turkey since the beginning of the Syrian war. From our side, not a single bullet was shot in the Turkish direction. Nevertheless, today we are confronted with an invasion. Whoever is silent about this invasion is an accomplice. "
