A ceremony was held in the city of Hesekê in Rojava to commemorate 134 people who were martyred in November and December.
The Hesekê Martyrs' Families Assembly held a commemoration ceremony at the Reşo Hall in the district of Mişêrfê for 134 people who were martyred in November and December.
Dozens of families of martyrs, members of civil and military institutions attended the commemoration event.
Rojda Ehmed, a member of the Martyrs' Families Assembly, delivered a short speech at the ceremony: “2022 has been a year full of obstacles. However, we have overcome these obstacles through the resistance of our military forces and the martyrs we are now commemorating.”
Ehmed stressed that Turkey will not achieve its goals no matter how much it escalates its attacks.
Ebdulsetar Ehmed, a member of the Cizre Region Military Council, remarked that the martyrs paid a huge price for people to live in freedom and peace.
Ehmed vowed to follow in the footsteps of the martyrs until the occupied territories are liberated.
A documentary about the 134 martyrs was screened at the end of the commemoration.
