Controlled explosion prevents ISIS attack in Deir ez-Zor
Deir ez-Zor Internal Security Forces destroyed a tanker containing a large amount of explosives thus preventing a massacre attack.
Deir ez-Zor Internal Security Forces prevented a massacre to be carried out in Hajin countryside with a bomb loaded tanker.
In a statement issued by the Internal Security Forces Press Office, it was said: "The Internal Security Forces prevented a terrorist attack on Thursday (12 September) in the western countryside of Hajin, Deir ez-Zor. The attack was to take place with a bomb-loaded tanker. A large amount of explosive C-4 contained in the tanker was destroyed by expert teams.
Following the attempts of ISIS cell structure, our forces carried out operations in the rural area between Senan and Abu Hemam towns where the tanker was placed.
In the tanker, 21 cans of C-4 were caught, each weighing 25 kilograms. The tanker was destroyed through a controlled explosion."
