A general curfew has been imposed in order to stem the rapid resurgence of coronavirus in northern and eastern Syria. The Health Committee warned of a humanitarian crisis in the region in the event that the citizens do not comply with the measures introduced.
The Health Committee took action against the increasing coronavirus cases in Dirbesiye (Al-Darbasiyah). A Covid-19 testing center was opened outside the Martyr Xebat Ferhan Hospital, which had been opened in 2016.
Martyr Xebat Ferhan Hospital administration co-president Ezîza Mihemed said, “We aim to prevent the virus from spreading in the region. We refer people who have tested positive to hospitals in Qamishlo and Heseke. Our people should also help us on that score and act in accordance with the measures introduced.”
