The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Syrian regime forces have attacked several locations in the east and southeast of Idlib on Friday. Accordingly, Russian jets have also struck many areas from midnight to this morning.
SOHR reported at least 462 land and air attacks during the last 24 hours, which resulted in casualties on both sides.
According to the SOHR statement, the gang groups in Idlib have suffered at least 38 losses, while 29 Syrian soldiers and 17 armed men acting with the Syrian army have died.
In addition, 11 civilians lost their lives in Thursday’s bombardments, including two women and a child.
With this operation, the Syrian regime forces have reportedly taken control of the Um Jalal, Um al-Tiwana, al-Rabia and al-Shara villages to the southeast of Idlib.
In a statement on Thursday, SOHR had reported that intensified fighting in the Maarat al-Numan area where an observation post of the Turkish state is located. According to SOHR, the regime wants to advance in non-conflict areas.
