The Foreign Affairs Council of Efrîn Canton released a statement about the ongoing attacks and threats of the Turkish state on Efrîn soil.

The statement reads as follows:

“The invading Turkish army continues deploying military equipment, tanks and large numbers of soldiers on Syrian soil. Some images published by the media show Jabhat Al-Nusra deploying Turkish army’s vehicles across the Efrîn Canton.

And what is more, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan threatens the Efrîn Canton, arguing that YPG/YPJ should leave Efrîn. YPJ/YPG are the children of these lands and they are defending their country.

As the Foreign Affairs Council of Efrîn Canton we call on the world to put pressure on the Turkish state to stop its invasion efforts and attempts.”
