The people of Efrîn's Iska village say that they are not afraid of the attacks, that they will not leave their land under any circumstances, and that they will support the YPJ/YPG until the very end.
The Turkish troops and affiliated gangs stationed at Seman Fortress attack the Iska village in Efrîn’s Sherawa district on daily basis.
Cemil Ibo, a resident of the village, stated that the goal of the Turkish army is to occupy their village, and said the following; "Our village is bombed by the Turkish army every day. Their intention is to frighten the people, but the fighters of the YPJ/YPG are fighting back and do not allow them to occupy the village. And we will defend our village and stand by the fighters with all the means we have."
Another villager by the name Cined Nabo stated the following on the issue: "Since our village is at the borderline, it is targeted by the gangs quite often. The Turkish army and their gangs are trying to break the defense line of our fighters and occupy our village. Their main purpose is to occupy Efrîn. They should know that these attacks will not ever frighten us."
The Iska village is located 25 km south of Efrîn Canton and according to a census of 2004, its population counts 1116 people.
