Euphrates Region goes in partial lockdown for a further four days

The Euphrates Region Autonomous Administration Council issued a circular, stating that a 4-day partial lockdown will begin today after which there will be a new 10-day total lockdown.
The statement said: “In order to prevent the coronavirus cases from increasing within the framework of the recommendations of the crisis table, the lockdown which ended on Sunday evening, was partially extended for 4 days. Within the scope of lockdown, places such as entertainment venues, holy places, religious places of worship, sports centers will remain closed. Activities such as meetings, conferences and the setting up of condolence tent are also prohibited. Shops that sell basic needs will be open between 7 am and 7 pm.
Professional and industrial places will also remain closed. Shops that sell and repair agricultural items will remain open between 5 pm to 8 am. Citizens should obey the established rules and stay away from crowded places.”
The partial lockdown will end at 7 pm on Thursday, after which a 10-day total lockdown will begin.
