‘External forces strive to sow discord between the Autonomous Administration and the people’

Co-chair of Manbij Association of Lawyers, Xelil El-Ehmed stated that external forces have been involved in the provocations emerging in the city, yet the civil administration prevents discords with rational approaches.

External forces standing against the democratic nation project have enhanced their efforts to annihilate the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. The recent provocations in Manbij are also a part of these attempts. However, prudential approaches of the people and the Autonomous Administration have frustrated the provocations.

Xelil El-Ehmed, co-chair of Manbij Association of Lawyers indicated the external forces disturbed by the peaceful and safe atmosphere in the city have a finger in the latest provocation attempts, saying “The Autonomous Administration paid a delicate attention to the issue and bore the treatment expenses of the injured people. Hence, it prevented the discord attempts. On the other side, Manbij people, once again, proved their determined stance against those instigating provocations.”

Expressing that people only want their rightful demands to be met, El Ehmed stressed, “People partaking in such protest actions do not have political purposes. Yet, external forces have intended to manipulate the protests and cause discord and instigation between the Autonomous Administration and the people.”

El Ehmed pointed out the roles of sheiks and opinion leaders in the incidents and added that the Autonomous Administration has established a delegation to organise meeting with people and families of those who lost their lives.

The Co-chair of Manbij Association of Lawyers lastly called on the people to give no chance to those striving to cause instigations and to conserve the stability in the region.
