The people of the Euphrates Region bid farewell to the martyrs Nîhad Hiso (Ebû Sator) and Ebdullah Îbrahîm who fell as martyrs as a result of drone attacks by the Turkish state on Manbij and Qaraqozax on June 13 and 14.

In addition, tribute was paid to Basil Ehmed (Çanşêr Adar), who fell a martyr in the Avaşin region this year, and Îbrahîm Şêx Hindî (Mezlûm Gelhat), who fell a martyr in Girê Spî in 2017.

During the ceremony organized by the Manbij Military Council, Mihemed Receb, a member of the Social Affairs Board of Kobanê Canton, delivered a speech, saying, “Our martyrs are our guiding pioneers. They sacrificed their lives to frustrate the enemy’s plans and their invasion attacks on our lands. We promise to avenge them.”

Mihemed Al Cadir, a member of the Manbij Military Council, addressed those who seek to disrupt the stability and security of the region and said, “We have chosen either a free and honorable life or the path of martyrdom. No matter how vicious your policies might be, we will never give up our struggle.”

Macîde Heson, a member of Kongra Star in the Euphrates Region, stated, “On one hand, they are intensifying the isolation of Leader Abdullah Öcalan, and on the other hand, they are besieging our regions, imposing embargoes and targeting our people.”

Şoreş Hiso, a brother of martyr Ebû Sator, delivered a speech on behalf of his family, calling on the people of the region to support the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in exposing traitors and bringing them to justice.

At the end of the ceremony, the Euphrates Region Assembly of Martyrs’ Families read out the martyrdom certificates of the fallen fighters.

Martyr Ebû Sator was laid to rest at the Martyr Dicle Cemetery and martyr Ebdullah Îbrahîm in the village of Eqbe in Kobanê.
