Federation of North-East Syrian Veterans calls for mobilisation for IDPs

The Federation of Veterans of North and East Syria called for ‘mobilising all our means and doing our best’ for the thousands of people who were forced to flee their lands after the attacks of the Turkish state and gangs.

Thousands of people were forced to migrate after the attacks of the Turkish state and affiliated gangs in northern Syria. The Federation of Veterans of North and East Syria made a statement calling for action for the forcibly displaced population.

Drawing attention to the attacks by the Turkish state, the federation noted that tens of thousands of people migrated from Shehba, Til Rifat and Aleppo after the attacks that started on 27 November.

Emphasising that tens of thousands of people accompanied by SDF and YPG-YPJ fighters reached the Autonomous Administration regions, the statement continued: “Everyone who knows the philosophy, ideas and ideology of Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan) knows that the priority of our Leader and our fighters is to protect the peoples from massacres and genocides. Our movement has prioritised the safety of civilians on this basis. To this end, they did whatever they could at the cost of martyrs and veterans. As our leader also stated, resistance and struggle will lead us to a hundred percent victory. With this hope, we greet our people and state that as war veterans, we will defend our peoples at the forefront against attacks and occupation and crown their struggle with the holiest victory.

On the basis of these facts, we call on the peoples of North and East Syria, all peoples who are in favour of peace, to support our people who had to leave their lands due to the attacks. We invite you to support our people by mobilising all our means.”
