On April 16, the Turkish state carried out an air attack on the house where Kurdish Leader Abdullah Öcalan stayed for a while in the village of Elpelûr in Kobanê after he moved from North Kurdistan to Rojava in 1979.
“CAPITALISM PURSUES ITS OWN INTEREST”
Fevzi Şengali, the Secretary of the Syrian National Democratic Kurdish Party, spoke to ANHA about the attack.
Stating that capitalism pursues its own interests, Şengali pointed out that the forces that carried out the international conspiracy supported the Turkish state in this regard, and these systems built on bourgeoisie and feudalism were afraid of Öcalan’s thoughts.
"NOT COMPATIBLE WITH TURKEY’S INTERESTS"
Şengali remarked that the Turkish state is trying to destroy the struggle of the Kurdish people, adding, “They are trying to supress Leader Öcalan. They want to prevent the democratic struggle of the peoples. In his defence at court Öcalan suggested solutions to various problems in the world, mainly in Turkey. But the Turkish state does not go over them because they are not compatible with its interests. What they do is only to attack. That's why they attacked Öcalan's house.”
“ENEMIES COOPERATE”
Şengali pointed out that enemies of the Kurdish people agreed with each other: “The Turkish state is attacking with the implicit approval of Russia and Damascus. But all keep silent. Some states have sought to benefit from the current war. They just want to sell their arms. That is why they remain silent on the inhuman attacks of the Turkish state."
Şengali urged the international community to do their part and to halt the Turkish state's attacks.
