The Rojava region has been affected by heavy rains for the last two days. The rain water has turned into floods, and the water levels in the Botan neighborhood to the west of the Kobanê city have risen up to a meter.
The area worst affected by the floods is the Sheran town where 60% has come under water and many homes and businesses have been caught in the waters.
The bridge on the Jarablus road has suffered damages while the road has been completely closed.
Five people have lost their lives in flooding incidents throughout the year in Kobane.
30 homes had fallen in the torrential rains of May and 90% of one neighborhood had been damaged. The Popular Municipality had announced 500 million Syrian Liras in damages following damage assessment efforts.
